Geek Cred (About Me)

Kevin is the sole Designer/Front End Developer in the band of developers called he has spent half of his 20 year design career drifting between Web Designer and Developer and lives in both camps comfortably. Being an evangelist of clean design and clean code, he runs a local web technology meetup and speaks at national tech conferences.

  • Star Wars Fan – I actually met David Prowse!
  • Role Player – ok, never a DM and wasn’t very good at D&D, but I wielded a wicked tinderbox!
  • LARPer – 4 years of saving the world as the undead, baby!
  • Movie Buff – I eat Ham and Jam and Spam alot.

I’m a classically trained designer that holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts. I have mad skills in both print and web design. I understand both the pica and the pixel.

I’m an advocate of simple, elegant design for UX. If you have to guess, the designer has failed. I’ve designed for Philips, Volvo, healthcare and environmental science sites.

Along with that, I’m s a founding partner of a fabulously talented band of developers called we offer services that range from a simple Drupal install to highly scalable custom, cloud-base web apps. Full-service design and development of enterprise level web properties!

Having spoken in national tech conferences, local social media conferences, and tech user groups, I’m comfortable sharing knowledge with large and small crowds. With talks ranging from “Building Content Management Systems” to “Running an Online Social Media Mystery Game” to “Building an HTML5 Site That Doesn’t Suck,”  I try to inject humor with knowledge.

If you want your inside staff to be up to speed on current trends or just simply trained, I can help. I will sit with them and help them “learn to fish.”

I used to work as a contractor for a pretty big and well known company. This company did whatever they could to keep me from going but i knew i needed to follow my passion. When I left the contractor construcion company I got really into fitness and health. I even started seeing a professional nutritionist on a regular basis. This helped me with all my goals and I wanted to make sure I was setup to be on track. Last I checked they’re still around too!
